AREA FORUM/WARD GRANTS
Matter for Consideration:
To consider applications under the Area Forum/Ward Grants Schemes.
Information:
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £20,000 to each Ward and the Area Forums have been awarded budgets equivalent to £7,500 per ward covered for the financial year 2013/2014. The funding for either scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors Cain and Jones of Bloomfield Ward have requested £2,800 to fund a residents parking scheme on Haig Road to include signs, poles and advertising, in relation to a Traffic Regulation Order.

Councillors Mrs Henderson MBE and Hunter of Highfield Ward have requested:
(i) £250 to fund Tennis Coaching Sessions at Highfield Park throughout the autumn months.
(ii)£1,107 to fund Indoor Tennis Coaching Sessions at South Shore Tennis Club throughout the winter months.

Councillors Boughton and M Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested £1,000 for combined funding with Park Ward for a LANPAC crime prevention and personal safety project for cycle coding for children and for reflective/flashing hi visibility protective equipment for primary school age children.

Councillors Lee and O’Hara of Waterloo Ward have requested £1,495 to fund Christmas lights on Waterloo Road from the Illuminations Division for Superscroll Displays, Star Torch Displays and to include columns and fitting.
